An opportunity to settle the nervous system, with nowhere else to be and nothing else to do.
We practiced trauma-informed yoga, interoceptive awareness through movement, meditation, reflection and mindful eating. Helping us reconnect with our sense of awe, play, curiosity, wonder and rest.
Allowing for longer periods of time to unplug in formal and informal ways, lands quite differently.
Thanks Janice for your heartfelt passion and compassion in guiding us through a very special offering, and all the extra caring touches along the way.
I feel pampered and renewed and recommend this to anyone feeling stressed and overwhelmed by the day to day, or simply looking to create some space for self and stillness out in nature.
I’ve been practicing meditation, mindfulness, and yoga for a while now, and still find that sometimes I get really caught up in the chaos of life and forget to make time for these things.
My time spent with Meditation in Motion was the perfect reminder that no matter where I am are in my mindfulness journey, it’s always a good time to reengage with the practice in different and intentional ways.
The day that Janice guided us through was exactly what I needed to reengage with these practices after a few hectic weeks. The area we walked through was gorgeous, the lunch she shared with us was fresh and delicious, and I left feeling so refreshed. Thank you for bringing me back to a grounded place 😌
The first few months of 2022 has been stressful and hard to process, but I truely noticed by the end of the retreat that my body felt lighter and my mind calmer than it has since the beginning of this year.
As someone who struggles with meditation I was nervous that I wouldn’t be able to fully immerse myself in the experience, however Janice had a great way of bringing my mind back to the present when I did find my brain wandering.
This is my second time joining Janice on her grounding retreats. Initially, I was shocked with how well her teachings helped me to stop my mind wondering and be in the present moment.
This was a huge win for me as someone who struggles to fall asleep. However, a few weeks went by, and the teachings slowly started to fade. I decided to book in again as I have been making a conscious effort to prioritise my mental health. Again I was met with a sense of calm and relaxation.
Janice held space for everyone as she lead us though yoga, meditation, hiking, mindful eating and a tea ceremony.
One thing that stood out for me was all the little things that make the day special. Janice used incense during her yoga, packed us all bags of scroggin and fruit, carried extra bottles of water, and had Diamond Deli catering - the best vegan sandwiches and cupcakes I've ever tasted!
Thank you Janice, for a beautiful day and for giving me the tools to prioritise my mental health.
I struggle to take time for myself and to concentrate and switch off.
The way Janice guided me and supported me throughout the day was amazing. I left refilled and with my battery charged. A particular highlight for me was the mindful eating and the gorgeous tea ceremony at the end.
I recommend this for anyone who wishes to learn new skills and steps to self-care!
Such a lovely and welcoming experience. I found it the perfect way to disconnect and reconnect with nature.
During Meditation In Motion I felt so grounded and returned home with a sense of inner peace.
